About Briefhelder and our editorial approach

Updated 14 October 2026 · By Grens Digital / Briefhelder

Briefhelder is a service by Grens Digital. We help readers understand a letter, identify practical next steps and prepare a suitable draft response.

What the service does

You provide text or photos and choose the explanation language, reply language and applicable jurisdiction. The interface is available in Dutch and English. A free preview comes before the paid explanation. Where useful, the result includes an editable draft. You check the facts and send any reply yourself; Briefhelder does not contact the sender for you.

How guides are prepared

Grens Digital is responsible for the content. AI is used to help prepare text. Where a guide discusses legal procedure, we link to the relevant official sources and identify the country. A source-check date records when the cited material was consulted; it does not guarantee that a rule still applies to every individual situation.

General writing examples are original illustrative drafts. They are not official forms or independently lawyer-approved templates. We do not present fictional examples as customer results.

Language is not legal coverage

An English explanation does not make a Dutch rule applicable elsewhere. The AI service currently offers limited source information about Dutch administrative objections. Other countries and topics receive general explanations and correspondence help, not a verified local legal assessment. See the coverage page.
