Start with the financial institution

MoneySense recommends first raising the issue with the institution. Describe what happened and the resolution you seek. Check the complaints channel independently before sending personal information.

A useful reply starts with your facts

Keep the reference, date and disputed transaction or decision together. If you do not yet know what happened, ask for an explanation rather than claiming wrongdoing.

Dear complaints team,

Please explain the decision described in your letter dated [date], reference [reference]. My concern is [your actual concern]. I would like [the outcome you request]. Please let me know which supporting documents you need.

Kind regards,

If it remains unresolved

FIDReC may be a next route, subject to its rules. This page does not determine eligibility or calculate a deadline. MAS does not settle commercial disputes or order compensation. Court documents need separate qualified help.

Select Singapore and financial institution complaint in the form. If source checks pass and the letter fits this narrow route, procedural information accompanies the explanation and reply support. Otherwise you receive general explanation and reply support.
